Come in closer,
southern boy.
Leave the wolf outside.
Claim me to my bones,
capsize me,
catch me in your tide.
Cold winds are rising,
but we can thaw,
fire licks through snow.
Come in closer,
southern boy.
Show me something I don't know.

Stanzas two and three are really good. But (and this is a serious question) doesn't a southern boy know nothing? What could he show?
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe we are seriously analyzing my game of thrones ygritte sex poem but HERE WE GO TAYLOR: that was an intentional play on her constant refrain that he knows nothing, meant as a mischievous challenge. Considering he did surprise her with his "lord's kiss" I thought that was fair. Warnings: Spoilers? NSFW? This is a poem about a terrible book?
